Fabrics and Finishes

There are thousands of different permutations of colour and texture within our fabric collections, and most of our upholstery can also be covered in several kinds of leather, made from the highest grade European hides. Our collections are always up to date and refreshed annually to reflect current trends.

In this section we show colour/texture charts of most of our fabrics and hides but these cannot replicate the look and feel of the actual material.

Of course, fabric and finish samples online are as accurate as they can be but cannot be guaranteed. The full range is available in-store and we do urge you to come in and see what’s possible to fully appreciate all that’s on offer.

Ligne Roset have been gradually increasing their offer of lacquer colours on their cabinet pieces too. We include the current choice of colours in this section, together with the wood and stone choices.

Lacquers and Finishes.
Ligne Roset’s lacquer colours, stone, marble, ceramic and wood options.
Alcantara.
A tough microfibre, often copied but never successfully. It has great stain-resistance with a sueded finish.
Amalfi.
A chenille fabric with a soft touch and a slight subtle sheen.
Appa.
A quilted knitted textile with a stitched motif inspired by classic tailoring. Its quilted nature restricts its usage on the collection.
Arda.
Arda is a knitted upholstery textile which recreates complex natural forms.
Bryam
Byram is a Kvadrat fabric composed of young goat hair with a beautiful pile and soft feel.
Canvas Laine 2.
A woven worsted wool consisting of subtly contrasting colour tones. Traditionally woven in British mills. Inherently fire-retardant.
Capa.
A stretchy boucle fabric. Its stretchy nature imposes certain restrictions of use in the collection.
Coda.
A thick tweedy-textured woven wool, bonded with a contrasting coloured thread in its backing. Inherently fire-retardant.
Cordoue 2.
A classic corduroy which has a rich velvet lustre. This slightly retro fabric looks especially great on Togo seating.
Cowu.
This fabric is Ligne Roset’s most exaggerated of our Boucle-type fabrics with the look almost of a sheep’s fleece. Due to its thickness, its uses are limited. Check with us.
Diva Hide.
A cow hide with a natural smooth grain, chemically dyed to offer a huge range of colours. It has a light seal.
Elite.
A patterned fabric with a raised motif inspired by a maze, created by a slubby thick yarn woven into a neutral back cloth.
Erpi.
A patterned fabric with a raised diamond motif created by a slubby thick yarn woven into a neutral back cloth.
Gentle 2.
The only knitted stretch wool velvet on the market with a gorgeous lustre. Its elastic backing gives it a stretchy property.
Indiana Hide.
A cowhide with an embossed grain and lacquered seal for easy maintenance.
Joy.
A woven tweedy fabric with a stain-retardant finish. Great for adding texture and well priced.
Kyoto Hide.
A thick-cut bull hide, semi-aniline dyed in a range of natural colours. Finished to a soft sheen.
Lhuis
A thick chenille fabric that has a soft pile and a rich colour palette.
Match.
A thick tweedy textured fabric with three different coloured yarns to create a multi-hued appearance.
Moby.
A stretchy quilted fabric given a dramatic ‘pebble’ like 3D texture via its stitched pattern. Its nature limits its usage in the collection.
Parade.
Parade is a boucle texture similar to Capa but does not have the stretchy extra element that Capa’s constitution provides.
Sea.
Sea has been designed by Marie Christine Dorner and made exclusively for Ligne Roset by the fabric quilting specialists Febrik.
Steelcut Trio 3.
A woven worsted textile, yarn-dyed and made from 3 differently coloured yarns. Inherently flame-retardant.
Uniform Melange 2
This fabric has been selected for the Ligne Roset seating that requires a stretchy type. It is composed of a woven wool surface layer with polymid providing the flex. This is sandwiched onto a thin foam backing giving it an element of padding.
Varese II.
A rich cotton velvet made by Designers Guild with a stunning range of colours and great lustre.
Vilo.
A chenille textile with a silky appearance and nice feel. Each colour tone is made up of two contrasting tones.
Vidar 3.
A tightly woven boucle with an appearance reminiscent of orange peel. A gentle satin finish of the weave avoid the itchy properties of some wools.
Zana.
A chenille textile with a brushed-effect pile. This has a nice soft ‘feel’.
